Merry Spring from oki yo!

So there’s a big Chinese-style garden in the middle of the bustling city of Naha.

It was constructed with help from Naha’s sister city of Fuzhou, China.

It gave an idea of how Okinawan architecture was influenced by the Chinese.

All the foliage in the garden is supposed to represent the four seasons.

I love that there’s this little square of preserved, pristine land back-to-back with modern apartments.

There were lots of big coi fish in the ponds.

And we saw a dead bird get totally f’ed up by some hungry turtles.
